Gas Order Trading System
Solution Overview: The Gas Order Trading System (GOTS) is a rich client server application. GOTS was developed to provide the client with a standardized system, creating a single point of access to the business processes and company information. This system delivered real-time exchange of scheduling natural gas nomination data, thus creating a connection point with external trading partners. In addition, GOTS incorporated several internal system integration features, including: faxing, order trading and accounting data exchange.
Business Benefit: GOTS accelerated the business growth by over 800 percent in a four year time span, while simultaneously reducing the number of staff needed. For example, the fully automated pricing from the order entry system saved an estimated 500 labor hours per month. Due to the application architecture and separation of processing resources, GOTS processed more transactions at a greater velocity with a lower average cost.
Field Training Exercise Application
Solution Overview: A mobile application was created for the largest railroad in the United States. This mobile application allowed managers to conduct and enter field training exercises with employees. It also integrated multiple backend systems to provide a consolidated view of the employee history, along with access to other key business information.
Business Benefit: Managers were able to spend more time in the field with employees. This enabled them to focus their time and efforts on improving safety, rather than in the office performing administrative tasks. As a result of improved validation processes, the application also dramatically increased data accuracy. Real-time integration with the enterprise data warehouse was achieved for the first time, enabling real-time reporting capabilities throughout the organization.
